Hey everyone, I'm feeling ready to move from paper trading to upping my live account to $2k, hopefully I'm not destitute in a month. My question is: - Should I keep my live trade account as cash or switch to a margin account? I don't really have much interest in using margin but thought it might be worth while to eliminate the settlement time. Anyone have any thoughts or experience w this to share? - Additional info: I won't be swing trading many penny stocks, mainly more established companies. I have a mentor that swears by swinging TSLA which is a pricier stock and thus would be using the bulk of my balance when I swing that one in particular Thanks in advance for any feedback!
I just bought X4 yesterday. I played it for ~3 hours, mostly just learning the basics of flight, docking, and I did some rudimentary low-margin trading that I could afford with the 10K starting credits. Here's my question. Are the bulk of the differences between X3 & X4 a matter of visuals/ walking in stations? ie have I already seen everything that separates X3 from X4 or is there significant changes to end-game as well? Is the scope of what's possible in X4 up to par with X3? I'm leery about spending $50 on X4, putting in the time it takes to learn the systems and get to a point of competency, only to find at that point that it's shallow or difficult or generally worse than a game I already have, just with better visuals and a first-person gimmick, however cool it may be. If what I've seen of X4 already is all it has to offer, I'm feeling like I should refund and just get into X3, but I don't want to do that if it is genuinely an improvement on (or at least roughly equivalent to) X3. I've seen plenty of reviews for X4 vs. X3 but I can't find any comparing the current release of X4 to X3. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

That feel when Etrade changes your margin requirements mid trade and then sells 60% of your portfolio at the low of the day without notice and you’re just sitting there like wow dude I wouldn’t have held for this week if I knew they would sell for a loss at that point. I already bought the shares..?

Hi, I have been trying to open some long positions on Kraken these past few days without any luck. Today I sent a support ticket about it wondering if it was because of my limited fiat funds but the answer I got was that it's because their margin pool is empty/low. The reply Not sure if this is relevant or commonly known but I thought it was worth posting. Incredibly fast reply though, creds for that!
